RefreshForce Frequently Asked Questions
=================================================================================

This text document contains the answers to the most asked questions about
RefreshForce.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Does RefreshForce allow custom (non Windows-designated) modes?

A: Yes it does, as permitted by Windows itself. If you create an incompatible
mode, or a mode that has a frequency that Windows does not like, (usually other
than 60, 72, 75, 85, 100, 120, 160 and 200), then the mode will become
unavailable to the graphics card, and you will not be able to use it at all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: RefreshForce is only showing me up to 85Hz, or not all modes that are
obviously compatible with my monitor.

A: The standard Plug & Play drivers do tend to be a bit too conservative when
protecting your monitor, BUT you CAN (unlike in other programs), override the
Plug & Play frequencies if you wish! Just remember to choose a valid frequency
(see above), and one not too high for your monitor!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I want to use 85Hz for all modes! Can I?

A: YES! Not a problem! Just change all the frequencies to 85Hz and you're done!
As always don't set your monitor, for example, to 85Hz at 1600x1200 if it can
only handle 75Hz at 1600x1200.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I want a temporary fix that doesn't change anything on my system, or something
that works on Windows 95/98/98SE/Me/NT! Where can I get it?

A: Download my other refresh program, RefreshLock. It's free as well, works on
all 32-bit Windows systems, and has heaps of other clever features! You can get
it here: http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rl/
